Meet Dr. Jeff Horner

Jeff is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a BA in Political Science and a Minor in History. He received his MA from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and his MLitt from the University of Bristol, England. In December 2016, he completed doctoral studies in education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Jeff has scored AP European History exam essays for the College Board since 2006. He has also taught AP US History and AP World History. His area of expertise is in tutoring Critical Reading and Writing. Jeff has scored both a perfect 800 on the Critical Reading section of the SAT and a perfect 170 on the Verbal Section of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).
Jeff has taught in elite independent schools for more than a decade and a half and enjoys seeing students' minds come alive with new knowledge. He brings his extensive classroom experiences to bear in presenting strategies to individuals, cohorts, and group seminars for their future test success. Honored as STAR teacher in 2010 by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and as Teacher of the Year in 2015 at Whitefield Academy , Jeff strives to make learning and test-taking accessible for all students.
